Il terzo appuntamento romano della rassegna PIÈCE UNIQUE propone tre artiste con altrettanti dittici di auto-rappresentazione. In ogni coppia di frame è condensato il racconto di un peculiare eterno femminino, dove l’io narrante si identifica con l’io narrato, o ne veste i panni, per rivelare un qualche sé all’apparecchio fotografico.

I due lavori di Elina Brotherus, sequenze della stessa scena, datano al periodo in cui l’artista - prima di spostare l’attenzione sul rapporto tra figura umana e paesaggio - lavorava con scarno stile documentaristico sull’esperienza relazionale soggettiva e sulla

presenza/assenza dell’amore. La stringente referenza autobiografica plasma un’onesta allegoria, quasi in cerca di un antidoto figurato a un dato turbamento esistenziale.

Il passo successivo è quello verso cui muove Daniela Perego. Nell’immergere se stessa nelle tensioni della metropoli contemporanea, l’artista si fa unità di misura emozionale dello spazio e crea un’esperienza condivisa, tramite la propria ambivalente figura di

soggetto/spettatore posto di spalle. Aleggia un senso di incomunicabilità, di vulnerabile e sospesa estraneità.

Quando Giulia Caira esce dal set casalingo dei primi lavori, è invece per rappresentare contrasti sociali o familiari, come l’esplosione di malessere in uno studio di psicoterapia sistemico-relazionale, dove la paziente è concepita come portavoce del disagio diffuso nel

suo sistema di rapporti. L’artista stessa inscena i momenti di quest’ardente nevrosi, in uno scenario di coazione claustrofobica esacerbata, nella percezione, dall’aperta dichiarazione

d’immanenza distaccata dell’osservatore.

Che il teatro sia privato o pubblico, la casa oppure la strada, questi double self risolvono la storica dicotomia fotografica in favore dello ‘specchio’ di sé, contrapposto alla prerogativa di ‘finestra’ sul mondo: l’autoscatto coglie un tessuto emotivo, è manifestazione di temperamento personale e rimando a significati universali.

Sono, questi, dialoghi in forma epidermica di monologo e - come abbozzi essenziali di storyboard - narrano senza fare cronaca.Privi di autocompiacimento e secondo diversi gradi di fervore, suggeriscono complessità e solitudini irrisolte, accostano e poi dissestano stereotipi.

All’osservatore, la possibilità di toccare e condividere palpitanti, caleidoscopiche intimità che sanno respirare la realtà per poi restituire una dimensione altra.
