Shooting for a television series inspired by Pierfrancesco Diliberto's internationally loved film, "La mafia uccide solo d'estate" (The mafia only kills in the summer) begins on Monday, February 8. The series will be directed by Luca Riboli and will feature actors Claudio Gioe, Anna Foglietta, Valentina D'Agostino and Nino Frassia. Shooting will take place in Rome and Palermo.
"La mafia uccide solo d'estate" is a unique portrait of Palermo’s tormented Mafia years during the early 90’s. Told from the point of view of the city’s residents, the story focuses on a child that innocently looks up to the political leaders of his country until he begins to understand the corruption by witnessing the violence with his own eyes.
